(Rom. 12:1-2) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Is it possible to know the will of God for your life? In the above verse the Apostle Paul says we can. 1) By Presenting your body back to God. God just doesn’t want our bodies, He wants them given back to Him of our own free will, as a sacrifice presented in the old testament. He wants our sacrifice to be holy and acceptable, but also surrendered unto God and His perfect will. 2) Transforming your mind. Jesus told his disciples that they could only serve one master, and so in order to serve God they needed to choose God over this world. For you to know the will of God for your life, we must turn your mind and heart away from the world and onto God. For God desires a renewed mind; one that is given over to His will, and way of His Word. And so, a transformed life begins in the mind. 3) Prove your gift. Every born-again believer has been given a “gift” to serve with from the Holy Spirit that lives within him after salvation. Once the gift is practiced in the Spirit, we will see that it is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God for our lives. Whereby God will give us the “grace” or power to use it once we are surrendered to doing it !
“Matt. 6:13) “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” The above verse is the ending words of Jesus’s example on of how to pray. In the Lord’s prayer we are first taught to honor and glorify the Father and His Holy Name or (His Person). Then we are commanded to seek His will or (His Purpose) in life. After which, Jesus taught us to (Petition) him for our needs or “ daily bread,” as well as “forgiveness” and “deliverance from evil” when tested, but there is also another aspect of this prayer that most people miss; and that is (His Praise). You see the temptation to do sin or “evil” is as much a part of our daily life as breathing. We are tempted daily to lust, lie, steal, gossip, cheat, become jealous, hate, etc., so we need not just the forgiveness of God, but also His power in faith. Brethren, we have someone in heaven who knows the feel of temptation in the flesh, and his name is Jesu
